LET'S BE NORMAL!Tuesday, August 31, 2010 10:42 AMin order to be normal,we need to study normalisation! (pardon me! i'm suparly bored!) so let's recap what i've learnt yesterday. what is normalisation? it is a design technique that is used in designing all databases! what's the purpose? -to arrange data so that it can be represented in tables, where each row-column position contains a single data element. -ensure that data elements are associated with the correct keys -minimising data redundancy & increasing stability. they have different forms. -unnormalised form: any tabulated data that contains REPEATING group. ( denote with {} ) -1 NF: does NOT contain repeating group -2 NF: it's 1 NF & no functional dependency -3 NF lalalaalala~ stopped. i'm bored. madly bored and lazy~ i tink cos i cant wait to meet marh 2 gorgeouses! =s but i need to finish understanding the whole revision paper tonight! so i wouldnt be lost for tmr's revision lecture! AHHHHHHHS! I DONT WANNA BE LAZY LAHHHHHHHS! |
